Advisory Retainer

Emergency management does not pause between surveys. Standards change. Incidents happen. Leadership asks questions. Plans need to be updated. A new EM comes on board and needs a second opinion before they make a decision that affects the whole program. Having consistent access to expert guidance — without having to scope and procure a new engagement every time — is what the Advisory Retainer provides.

Up to 8 hours of expert D2EMC advisory time per month, on a predictable monthly basis. Use the hours however your program needs them that month — input on a standard change, a second opinion on a plan revision, an after-action debrief on a minor event, preparation for a leadership or board briefing, or a quick answer to a question that would otherwise take days to research. The hours are yours. The expertise is there when you need it.

Retainer clients receive priority scheduling over project-based clients, a 10% discount on any project-based work scoped during the retainer term, and guaranteed response times.

Your Discovery Call — Free of Charge Before we confirm your retainer, we schedule a free discovery call to understand your facility's current program status, your internal staffing, how you anticipate using the advisory hours, and what outcome the retainer needs to support. Your quote is prepared and shared with you after that call.

What You Walk Away With Up to 8 hours per month of direct access to D2EMC senior advisory expertise — responsive, documented, and structured around your program's actual needs. At the end of each month, you receive a brief summary of advisory activity and any recommendations made during the period, so you have a running record of the guidance your program has received. Over the term of the retainer, you build a documented advisory relationship that supports your program through every phase of your compliance and survey cycle.

Best for: Facilities with an internal emergency manager in place who needs ongoing expert backup, a reliable second opinion, and consistent access to senior-level guidance without the cost and overhead of a full support engagement.
